As I transition into a keto lifestyle, I’ve found that I still crave the traditional foods I love. Through some delicious experiments and research, I’ve discovered that you can enjoy those same beloved flavors — the Keto way! Whether you’re following a keto lifestyle, prefer traditional ingredients, or need dairy-free alternatives, these sauces are perfect.

For those sticking with traditional ingredients, feel free to replace erythritol with sugar, almond milk with regular milk, and plant butter with butter. If you’re looking for dairy-free options, simply swap heavy cream with coconut cream or almond milk, and use plant-based butter to keep your sauces rich and creamy.

Each sauce makes about 4 oz (120 ml), which is approximately 8 tablespoons — perfect to enjoy fresh or store for later.

Note: Why I Use Erythritol

Erythritol is my sweetener of choice because it’s zero-calorie and doesn’t spike insulin levels, making it ideal for keto. Some other “zero-sugar” sweeteners can still trigger an insulin response, disrupting ketosis. For example:

Maltitol: Often found in sugar-free products, it has a glycemic index of 35, raising blood sugar.

Xylitol: Lower on the glycemic index, but still causes a mild insulin response (and is toxic to pets).

Stevia and Monk Fruit: Both are good alternatives, but their taste can vary slightly from regular sugar.
